Boise!!

Well first of all friends let me inform you that there are only FIVE AND A HALF weeks of school left! Hooray! :D But Emily and I decided that we needed a mid-semester break. SO we went to her home and it was SOO fun! We rode with Emily's grandparents who are absolutely adorable and they wanted to leave Thursday, so we got there at around 5, played football with the boys, had dinner, just played around! We did a lot of that this weekend. Friday was our redeeming day. We got up and went with Chele to a Yoga class at 10 and then Emily, Chele, and I went on a 3 mile run later that day! It was such beautiful weather! Let me share with you a few other highlights from the trip...

1. Miss Tammy's Tea Cottage

This was THE cutest restaurant I have ever been to. Before you go into the restaurant there is a little store that has antique type things but then surprise surprise the store continues throughout the whole "house" in the rooms you eat in! So this is Sarah, Aubrey, Emily, and I dressing up in the fun things as we waited for our food. (Chele, Grandma and Grandpa Smith were also there!) Now the food oh my goodness I got a sandwich called the Monte Cristo that is a ham turkey and swiss cheese sandwich fried with powdered sugar on top... yes it was fattening and YES it was so delicious!!
2. Sarah's Junior Miss Pageant!!

This was the main reason Emily and I went to Boise, because Sarah was in the Boise city Junior Miss pageant! For those of you who don't know, it's a scholarship program! So on Saturday night she got all dolled up and performed an exercise routine with all the other girls, performed a yoga routine as her talent (and can I just say that it was the most unique and best talent out of them all!) and ended by answering a question given to her by the judges (again her answer was the best... it was one of the few answers that was actually well thought through :)) Sarah really did an amazing job! There were so many people there to support her too! Her OLD neighbor was there, (on the left in the picture of Sarah, Emily, and I) her young woman leaders were there, her friends were there, and of course we were there! :) She did a fantastic job!!

3. Story Time!!

Sunday after church Sarah, Emily, Carsen, Aubrey, and I collapsed on Sarah's bed and started reading picture books to eachother. haha it was so fun! BUT not only this kind of story time, all weekend was so fun because we just sat around talking and remembering old memories that we've had together. (and not to mention all of the stories grandpa Howell told when Emily and I went to visit him on Sunday... :D ) Here is one of my favorite stories from the weekend captured on film.
