August 27

Ello everybody! I'm sorry I'm writing so late today, we came to the chapel to write because it's a bank holiday today and we got this huge delivery of books from the library at Hyde Park chapel to start a proper library here at the church and they told us we could take books that there are duplicates of and let me tell you what... there are SO many good books in there oh my days! Anywho so here I am now.

First item of business today. Elder White came up to me at our zone training on Friday and said our mission was being cut short.... by 3 days. There is a mission presidents seminar Wednesday the 31st of October so I think we are flying home on the Monday now. ... Let me know when you get my flight information. ha ha But for kidnapping me cabin I think you should just still do it for the weekend so everyone doesn't have to take too much school off.

OK well London is taking a little break between the Olympics and the Paralympics this last week, it was good :) BUT the work was still busy as ever. We taught Mal, Ezekiel, and Jay (I told you about Mal, Ezekiel and Jay are his friends that he invited to church and we started teaching them as well!) so yesterday they all came to church again and we loved it! And they did too. We walked downstairs after our correlation before church and President and Sister Millar were there WHAT a surprise and it was so fun to be there with them and the elders from Clapham ward and there are 2 senior couples in the Clapham ward as well, it's just good to be with other missionaries to remember we are not alone in this work :) We also had zone training Friday like I mentioned and it was so good. I just adore President and Sister Millar. It was very different, usually the zone leaders just speak to us for a little bit and then the aps for a while and president for a while, but this time the zone leaders spoke to us most of the time and then we did some practising and President just spoke to us for maybe 5 minutes and the APs didn't even talk at all! But they all spoke so perfectly about what we needed to hear. They talked about solving peoples concerns and that is something this week we have been working through a lot of peoples concerns, different concerns that we have never had to worry or work through before. It is amazing how satan works through ANYTHING. Does that make any sense? ha ha I just mean it's amazing to see the different things people bring up that hold them back from praying or coming to church or being baptised! President being at church Sunday was so inspired though because Ezekiel had some questions that he wanted to ask someone with the Priesthood and so he asked President and then after came to us and told us that even though he was baptised before in his baptist church he wants to be baptised again and come to "de Mormon church" :)  Bless them all. AND the sun was shining all day long.

Afterwards we went to meet with a girl called Jo. Listen to this story. About a month ago we were leaving a DA and we went to the bus stop and it was just Sister Barker and I sitting there (so that tells you right there that it was like 2 months ago) and a girl came and sat down and she was crying so we started talking to her and invited her to church and gave her A Book of Mormon and she was just so sweet! She messaged us the next day and couldn't come to church and after a few weeks we lost contact, so fast forward to Friday night. We were supposed to go to the Young's home for dinner with Mal, Ezekiel, and Jay but they had to cancel because their son broke his hand- so we went to an Indian place in Tooting Broadway with them for dinner and after we  left we had to get something in Sainsbury's for a teach the next day and as we were walking down an aisle all the sudden I hear " Sister!!" It was Jo! So she ran over and hugged us and told us she was sorry she hadn't been in contact but she wanted to meet with us. She couldn't come to church so we met with her after and it was just lovely. The sun was still shining so we were at a park teaching her. After that we taught Braulio at a different park.... I love teaching outside when it's sunny! It was probably the last chance to this summer as well. ha ha by the time we were finishing with Braulio it was getting realllllllly cold. Oh well. We LOVED it while it lasted.

What else what else... I had quite a few "these are a few of my favourite things" but I forgot my planner! Ooops. You'll have to wait for next week. :) I. Love. You.

*Our Indian feast! Jay, Me, Boman, Mal, Ezekiel
*KARLENE! We went and painted her nails and she loved it! Bless her.
