July 22

Oh Ellen's wedding sounded beautiful! I am so so happy to hear so many family members were there as well! How fun for everyone. :) Well this morning I am sending you all the love and SUNSHINE from London. It is gorgeous today and it was gorgeous yesterday as well! The first day in a long long time that the sun was shining all day long. AND the olympic torch is coming through our area today! We are very very excited and it is just the most perfect weather for it.

So the Olympics start on FRIDAY!! Yesterday Sister Paulsen and I realised that we don't know anything about what is going on and to be honest you probably know more and are more excited about the olympics than we are because we are just kind of out of the media loop. ha ha we were at a members home last night and we walked into the living room and a commercial for the olympics came on and we got so excited! They have redone a lot of things here in Wimbledon (for Wimbledon and now they are changing it to say the olympics ha ha) so we do see it but now.. we are getting really excited because we have heard the plan for what we are going to do. So we got permission to set up a table right next to the London Eye and we will all take turns as a zone throughout the olympics at the table and walking around (our side of the river ;)) and talking to people. :D How sweet is that!? We are well excited.

Things are wonderful today. The sunshine sure helps :) Last week when we were travelling to a members home for dinner we met a woman called Hannah. She had a little girl called Amber that came up to us and just started talking to us a little bit so we started speaking to Hannah and she invited us over to her house later in the week- so we went over and they have the cutest little flat and the cutest little family and she was just wanting to know more- she asked questions pertaining to the plan of salvation even though we were just talking about the restoration... it was just so so good. The spirit in their little home is already so strong- we can't wait to teach them more!

Mom you asked about Aigars, we spoke with him this week and with his brother as well and his brother told us Aigars doesn't have any desire to drink at all anymore. :) And Aigars got a council falt temporarily, well they called him and told him that he could stay there permanently. :D miracles!! I love it.

We had our first personal interviews with President Millar this week and he is the oldest mission president in the church right now. :) BUT he is wise. And we feel so safe. He is so sweet. As he was leaving he started singing Oklahoma "Oh what a beautiful morning oh what a beautiful day!" and apparently I was the only one that knew it so we were just singing it to everyone ha ha

ps President Millar served his mission in Australia and his mission president was Bruce R. McConkie. Ya. This guy is good.

Well these are a few of my favourite things:
*Moment of pure silence on the underground.. it doesn't happen very often but when it does- so peaceful.
*Seeing other strangers smile at eachother on the tube
*Seeing a homeless man going through the tube asking for money and pretty much every single person reached into their pockets and gave him some money. :) It was beautiful.
*Working with the YSA of Wandsworth. We are working on getting a proper centre here and it has been so FUN to work with them! Pretty much all of our investigators in the zone at the moment are YSA aged... ya we need to get this going!
